From Words to Action:
Human Rights In Today's World

Friday April 7, 2006 at the University of Connecticut Greater Hartford Campus

The University of Connecticut Regional Campuses, Connecticut Community Colleges, and the UNESCO Chair Office have collaborated to offer a free Convocation in Human Rights with the goals of increasing awareness to the meaning of global human rights and motivating attendees to take responsive action.

Inspired and supported by Dr.Amii Omara-Otunnu, UNESCO Chair in Human Rights for the US, the event will promote awareness of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, and explore various aspects of existing human rights academic, student and business models.

Students, faculty and staff at Community Colleges and UCONN Regional Campuses are encouraged to attend this special convocation co-hosted by UCONN Greater Hartford Campus and Capital Community college.
